Companhia Lorenz was founded in 1916 by Hanz and Fritz Lorenz, becoming the first cassava starch industry in Latin America. Over the years, it has developed a series of starch/starch-based products, bringing technological solutions and appropriate processes to the market, serving clients with quality and innovation.
Currently, we offer the market a complete line of starches: modified and pregelatinized starches, hydroxypropylated starches, maltodextrins, dextrins, dehydrated glucose syrup, sour starch and vegetable adhesives. Our raw materials are cassava starch, corn starch, waxy corn starch and potato starch.
In addition to the starches contained in our portfolio, we also develop products to meet the particularities of each client, bringing solutions to the most varied segments and lines of action.
Lorenz is aGTFoods Group Company
In 2015, Grupo GTFoods acquired Companhia Lorenz, a manufacturer of starches, pregelatinized products, dextrins and other ingredients for food manufacturing. In 2021, the group expanded its area of activity in this market by acquiring CM3 Amidos.
The expansion and diversification of the group enabled the inclusion of GTFoods among the 10 largest exporters of food in Brazil – selling its products in more than 100 countries.
