We produce a differentiated line of starches that undergo a process that makes the product resistant to UHT (Ultra High Temperature) processes, freezing cycles, extreme conditions of pressure, temperature and pH. Lorenz was a pioneer in the manufacture of this type of starch in Brazil.

Our pre-gelatinized starches are obtained from cassava starch, regular corn starch, potato starch and waxy corn starch (waxy), according to the needs of each client and their process particularities.

Maltodextrins are process aids, encapsulation and vehicles in flavors and fragrances, fat and sugar substitutes, food supplements, as well as powdered dairy drinks and ice cream. Dehydrated glucose syrup, on the other hand, can be applied directly in powder form and without heating, facilitating the production process. However, both are obtained from cassava starch and corn starch, as required by the client.

The starch source for the dextrins is either cassava starch or regular corn starch, depending on the application required. With regard to marketing, dextrins are available in solid (powder) and liquid (prepared) form.

In 2015, Grupo GTFoods acquired Companhia Lorenz, a manufacturer of starches, pregelatinized products, dextrins and other ingredients for food manufacturing. In 2021, the group expanded its area of activity in this market by acquiring CM3 Amidos.
