DEXTRINS AND MIXTURES
What are Dextrins and Mixtures?
Dextrins are complex carbohydrates obtained through starch hydrolysis, with varying degrees of dextrinization, affecting their solubility and color, which can range from white to dark caramel.
Both dextrins and dextrin-based blends offer great versatility for both food and industrial applications. In the food industry, dextrins can be used as thickeners, binders, and for drying aromas.
In non-food industries, they are used in vegetable adhesives, labeling markets, ceramics, refractories, packaging, mining, and more.
Lorenz has extensive experience in the production of dextrins and mixtures, dating back to 1916. With four industrial units across the states of ParanĂ¡ and Mato Grosso do Sul, Lorenz has a production capacity of approximately 280,000 tons per year.
