DEXTRINS AND MIXTURES

What are Dextrins and Mixtures?

Dextrins are complex carbohydrates obtained through starch hydrolysis, with varying degrees of dextrinization, affecting their solubility and color, which can range from white to dark caramel.

Both dextrins and dextrin-based blends offer great versatility for both food and industrial applications. In the food industry, dextrins can be used as thickeners, binders, and for drying aromas.

In non-food industries, they are used in vegetable adhesives, labeling markets, ceramics, refractories, packaging, mining, and more.
